ok, i see problem now. it's problem of Windows. open 'Reliability and Performance Monitor' from Administrative tools in control panel and add object 'Ready Boost Cache' and counter 'Bytes cached'. now you can see BIG problem. if this counters not working right, then RB Monitor cant work too. getting data from same source - Performance counters. sorry, i can't do anything :( ... | 6.11.2008 17:47:45 - I have a 4gig ReadyBoost. |
I have the same problem, than the user elmariachi
I have a 4090 MO ReadyBoost.
It is not from Vista Ultimate x64 [SP2 Beta] = it do the same with SP1.
For some detail, see my comment below.
Please look at your Cached and Compressed, value limit in your software = maybe a programmation value that dont do, near 4 Gig. ... Sylvain St-Amand (SST)

| 2.11.2008 2:20:00 - 4 gig ReadyBoost cached&compressed dont go > 2gig |
I have = Windows Vista Ultimate, FrenchCanadian, x64 [SP2 (BetaTest)], HP DV8305ca Laptop, 1 Cpu core AMD Turion 64 Mobile, [2 Gig. DDR1 333 Ram], [UAC SP2 disabled], [WindowsDefender x64 enabled], [ReadyBoost = [4gig on a "USB ThumbDrive 8Gig"], [Vista Ultimate Estimated Score of = 3.0].
4090 MO ReadyBoost, or 3000 MO.
= In your software V1.0.7, Cached & Compressed dont go > 2.57 GB for cached, even if the computer is used for some minutes, and i open severals softwares.
It's maybe with Vista x64 SP2 Beta = I test the Beta 2 of ServicePack 2.
I will test with my backup of normal Vista SP1.
I see that [ReadyBoost Monitor v1.0.7] is a 64 bit version in task manager, did it is really a 64 bit software, or it is sp2 beta that think, that your software is a x64 program.

I like the monitor, thanks, I only wish it had something that told me that it was monitoring the USB drive, there seems to be nothing that gives me the warm and fuzzy that it is doing this.... ... PT Retro Rod
